Events 2008

Mediterranean Digital Space initiative and relevant events are listed below where the initiative benefit of a large exposure in the international arena with Governments, organizations and private sector in 2008.

  1. Summit of Mediterranean Cities (Malaga, 2,3 October 2008)

    The first “Summit of Mediterranean Cities” will be held in Malaga. The City Council of Malaga is organizing this first Summit of cities and regional governments where over 1,000 authorities are expected to attend. The new Presidency of the European Union (France) and the Government of Spain have highly supported this event.

  2. Digital Solidarity Conference (Lyon, 24 November 2008)

    The French EU Presidency and Mr. Alain Madelin (FSN President and former Finance French Minister) have announced the first Digital Solidarity Conference to be held at the end of November. The EU President, Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, has been invited to this event along with governments, local authorities, businesses, institutions and NGOs from around the world. http://www.dsf-fsn.org/cms/content/view/300/

  3. Club Málaga Valley e-27 (Malaga, 14, 16 October 2008)

    Ees una iniciativa de un destacado grupo de presidentes de relevantes compañías del sector de la sociedad de la información y de algunos de sus líderes más destacados. El grupo tiene como objetivo diseñar las políticas y líneas de acción necesarias para convertir a Málaga en la más importante zona de excelencia tecnológica de Europa, un “Silicon Valley” europeo capaz de arrastrar a empresas de todo el mundo e inversiones en I+D.

Past: The Euro Malaga Hub (Malaga, 16 October 2007)

In 2007, WISeKey presented a project for the creation of a Euro-African Hub within the framework of Malaga Valley's activities. This has now taken on a new dimension, focusing on the objectives laid out by President Zapatero at the Union for the Mediterranean (UPM) recently organised by President Sarkozy in Paris.
